Black History Month

February is Black History Month, a month where we learn about and celebrate the contributions of Black people throughout history. You may visit these sites in any order, but please stay on Black History Month topics.

Scholastic has a lot of good information and many articles, some of them on people you may not even know about yet.

Kidsplayandcreate.com has some interesting articles, too.

Reading Rockets has some awesome interviews with Black authors. Please only watch the videos on the site. Don’t switch over to Youtube.

Fact Monster has some fun activities, including quizzes. Your grade does NOT depend on your quiz score, it’s just another opportunity to learn. How much do YOU know? Did you get 100% right? Raise your hand and tell me!

Take a virtual tour of the National Museum of African American History

Scholastic Underground Railroad activity. Let me know if this link doesn’t work.

I look forward to having you share some of the cool facts you learn!
